The Manitex infectious disease portal can help hospitals fight against the spread of typical hospital diseases amongst their employees.
The capture of this data has become extremely important with the arrival of Covid-19 and the increase of other hospital acquired infectious diseases.
This portal allows any hospital to perform its own contact tracing for any infectious disease outbreak. The portal provides alerts to the Hospital on the incidence and extent of infections. Secure access is available anywhere in the Hospital to all relevant staff e.g. Infection Control, HR, OT, etc.
The infectious disease form allows for the secure capture of all necessary data on infections and will highlight the necessary isolation periods for staff.
To avoid duplicate data entry the data entry form can be integrated with hospitals existing database of employees (e.g. HR or Payroll system) using their employee number as the primary key. Where this is not available a periodic overnight update into the portal can be implemented. Data collection is via user friendly via drop down list, radar buttons and textual fields where relevant.
The portal can be used for the current COVID-19 infection staff contact tracing and/or for other infectious diseases contact tracing for internal and external staff members.
The captured data can reside in the customers preferred SQL database or where not available in indexed text files which can be set-up by Manitex. Access to all information is via a secure personal account log-on and an audit trail is available for privacy and GDPR purposes.
