Manitex recently managed the expansion of EndoRAAD to cover a new Procedure Room in the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee, bringing the total number of Procedure Rooms to Three. Due to the increased demand for Endoscopy services in the region, Manitex managed to implement the full EndoRAAD solution in the new room within 2 weeks.
The additional procedure room will enable the hospital to carry out ~ 50% more Endoscopy procedures annually, thereby broadening the capacity and quality of their Endoscopy and patient care services for their private and public patients.
In her words, the Orthopaedic Services Manager Hilary Fitzgerald stated “Our 3rd procedure room and new Admissions Unit was opened to ensure our private patients receive care in a timely manner to the highest standards. The new unit has been opened to increase the volume of gastroscopy and colonoscopy appointments available for patients referred by local GPs across Munster and increases capacity for an additional 30 endoscopy patients per day, compared to 60 at the moment. Our new Admission Unit will improve the efficiency of patient flow and enhance our patient’s experience.”
“Having this 3rd room also allows us to provide care for a higher volume of public patients and so the new procedure room will also be used to increase capacity for public waiting list patients from hospitals in the Munster area to ensure their treatment is provided in a timely manner to JCI accredited standards of care.”
This move has further expanded the availability of Endoscopy services in the Bons Secours Health System which started using the EndoRAAD Solution in 2013.
